Shallowness is where most people live. Like the Indian legend of the beggar who sat on a box that was filled with gold.

I think that a good filter to use in terms of our efforts seeking convenience could be asking ourselves “why” several layers down. Asking “why” five times is a technique some of us coaches use, until we get to the bottom of the matter. Why are we seeking convenience? Then why, another four times.

It made me sad to read about the interview with the professor of philosophy. Philosophers are born; we are born with an insatiable appetite for learning. We forfeit entertainment and many other things in our quest to know more truth about some fundamental issues of life, and we recognize to never arrive at a full measure of understanding, but we never stop pursuing and seeking; the very contemplation of these things uplifts and enriches us.

You describe what I consider to be a mis-use of technology. Something with an enormous potential to enrich us, comes, instead, due to our own inadequacies, and rather than foster our growth, it impedes it. It is not technology’s fault, but our own lack of discernment.

“… frustrated, impatient and angry…”

wow, some reaping from what is meant to increase the quality of our lives, of our learning, of our experiences. But we demonstrate where we are developmentally by how we behave with these machinery.

I am learning something new, and it is expanding my limits; pushing my borders. Is it comfortable? No. Is it exciting? YES!!! “both a frustrating and fantastic place to be”.

You made me long for the face to face friends!!!!! (I do and will travel).

I have ABSOLUTE faith in my essential Self; and I am pretty darn suspicious of my (however much I love it) head.

(I think that that “culture” that feeds the fallacy of quick enlightenment is also called “business”, or, in biblical terms: “filthy lucre”.)

Dwelling in the unknown is quite inconvenient for ego, but the spirit relishes it. I don’t know many who are always “in the spirit”, so it is a struggle to live in this path of flow and unknowing, but I will not trade it :-).

Your article is amazing. Thank you for giving it away. ❤

I have a great interest in the intersection of psychology, philosophy, religion, social structures of power, and fear: the bait that catches us everywhere.
