“When we only look at the women who are victims, we are only looking at half the problem”…

  1. “The women who are victims” are roughly 100% of all women, with varying degrees of victimhood; but notwithstanding,
  2. To only look at women and our LONG-STANDING problematic relationship with men is, I would agree, short-sighted, but I am not sure that it looks at exactly “half the problem”.
  3. We cannot have the most basic discussion about this issue without considering culture, religion, and education, particularly the lack of education.

It is high time that we pay attention to this alarming situation, and we must resist the temptation to be simplistic. It is a long road ahead, and if this is our first step, let it be a solid one in the right direction. We have much to learn.

I have a great interest in the intersection of psychology, philosophy, religion, social structures of power, and fear: the bait that catches us everywhere.
